okay i know what you’re about to say…
“if you love these movies, how’d you forget about them?”
LISTEN. i can explain. i’m an avid movie watcher and these were all movies i watched when i was younger and loved all of them!
all of them had a quirky plot and hilarious outcomes and now that i found a platform that has these, im going to watch them again🤪
(btw all of these are on HBO MAX!)
what are some movies you forgot about or you think everyone else forgot about?
It’s a peculiar feeling, isn't it? Stumbling upon a movie you adored as a kid, a film that shaped some of your earliest cinematic memories, only to realize you somehow completely forgot it existed. I totally get it! My brain is packed with so many movies, but certain childhood gems just slip through the cracks. But oh, the joy of rediscovery! When I recently re-stumbled upon these fantastic movies, it was like finding a hidden treasure chest of nostalgia. Take Adam Sandler's 'Click,' for example. Released in 2006 with a PG-13 rating, this wasn't just another Sandler comedy. It had that signature humor, of course, but also an unexpected depth and a really poignant message about appreciating the moments in life. The premise of a universal remote controlling time felt so clever and fresh back then, and honestly, it still holds up. It makes you laugh, but it also makes you think – a true sign of a great movie. Then there’s Eddie Murphy's 'Daddy Day Care,' a delightful PG-rated comedy from 2003. Eddie Murphy is a legend, and seeing him in this role, navigating the chaos of running a daycare, is just pure gold. The movie is full of hilarious antics and heartwarming moments, perfectly capturing the challenges and rewards of parenthood with a comedic twist. It's a prime example of a feel-good film that brings a smile to your face every time you watch it. Both dwayne johnson and eddie murphy have such incredible ranges, and it’s always fun to look back at these family-friendly roles. And let's not forget Dwayne Johnson's 'Tooth Fairy.' Who would’ve thought 'The Rock' as a fairy? This 2010 PG-rated movie was such a pleasant surprise. Johnson, with wings and a tutu, brought so much charm and humor to the role of a hockey player forced to serve as a real-life tooth fairy. It’s silly, it’s sweet, and it’s perfect for a family movie night. These are the kinds of kid movies that might not win Oscars, but they win hearts and become part of our collective childhood nostalgia movies. Why do we tend to forget these incredible childhood movies you forgot about? Maybe it's the sheer volume of content we consume, or perhaps our tastes evolve as we grow up. But there's something magical about revisiting these movies you forgot about. They transport you back to a simpler time, reminding you of the laughter and wonder you felt as a child. It’s not just about the plot; it’s about the memories attached to them. So, if you’re looking for some fantastic movies people forgot about to rewatch, I highly recommend diving back into these. Many of these old movies are readily available on streaming platforms like HBO Max, making it easier than ever to rediscover these film gems. What about you? What are some of your favorite childhood movies you forgot about that you’ve rediscovered recently? I'd love to hear your recommendations!
