My rule of thumb is to keep it #simple, #modest, and #formal .
How I dress depends on the formality of court I am going to. If I know I’m appearing in front of a less formal judge, I try to play around my personal style and let my personality shine through with color and texture. If I appear at a more formal court, especially if it’s my first time in front of a particular #judge I keep it very bland.
Some of the best advice I was given in law school is not to dress to distract from your argument. If your appearance is distracting, it can very well hurt your client in the long run because judges are human and one might be preoccupied with what you are wearing versus what you are saying.

Even when the search queries mention 'casual court outfits' or 'cute outfits for court,' it's vital to interpret 'casual' within the court context. This is not casual Friday attire.
