Get Ready for Bed w/ Me - Sick Edition
Ugh the typical late winter cold🤒
Anyone else suffering from this bug going around? I’m struggling with a sore throat and ear ache but trying my best to stay on top of it!
My best advice when feeling yucky⬇️
🩵 Be stocked up on all the meds, this way you don’t have to go to the store when you’re feeling sick! Mucinex, Vicks Rub, Zicam Swabs are my go tos. Being prepared is probably the best bit of advice!! There’s nothing worse than feeling sick at night and having to pull yourself together to go pick up medicine when you don’t live at home anymore and have someone to care for you. Adulting is rough!
🩵 Get yourself nice tissues, there’s nothing worse than being sick and using what feels like printer paper to blow your nose. Puffs plus lotion for me ◡̈
🩵 Hot shower + shower bombs or essential oils! This helps open your sinuses so much. And there’s nothing better than a nice hot shower. I’ve heard you can put a few drops of peppermint or lavender oil in the shower too!! Careful though, could be slippery.
🩵 PJs that make you feel good :) if you look good you feel good. while this wont make the sickness go away, you can at least feel cozy. Mine are a flannel pair from Old Navy.
🩵 drink lots of fluids, stay consistent with medicine, get your rest and eat lots of fruit!! Smoothies and juice are an easy way to get extra vitamins and minerals!
🩵 heating pad for ear aches. This helps me so much when I get those earaches that hurt into your teeth and jaw if you know what I mean🤒
this is all most likely common knowledge but we all need a reminder sometimes!! lets get through cold and flu season together 🫶🏼
