Doing 1 thing everyday that brings me joy 🍋
Hi!! Starting a new series on my page and encouraging everyone to join me :)
I feel like lately life has gotten mundane and its easy to fall into a drab repetitive schedule - so my solution to this is to start making it a priority to do one thing everyday that brings me joy and hopefully breaks up the routine. 🤪
this could be something as simple as walking my dog at a new spot or doing a face mask at home or going on a date. whatever it is I want to make happiness and joy a habit for everyday! and maybe start to find an appreciation for the little things along the way. 🥰
With all of this being said, I’m posting this on day 2 and feeling a bit intimidated about keeping up with ideas. If you have any suggestions comment them below!! I think today I’m planning to do some sort of exercise or fun dog walk location?? (Spoiler alert for tomorrow’s post!) 🐶
Cheers to bringing the joy and fun back into life!!🍾

Hey everyone! Picking up where my 'Daily Joy Challenge' series began (remember Day 1? 😊), I've been reflecting on how truly transformative making space for just ONE joyful thing every day can be. It's so easy for life to feel like a hamster wheel, and that's exactly what I'm trying to break free from. If you're looking for ways to inject more peace and happiness into your life, these simple habits are for you! I’ve realized that embracing joy doesn't require grand gestures. It's often found in the small, consistent actions we weave into our daily rhythm. Here are some of the practical tips and 'habit pack' ideas I've been exploring to make happiness a non-negotiable part of my day: 1. Prioritize Self-Care & Comfort: Sometimes, joy is as simple as dedicating a few minutes to yourself. This could be like that amazing face mask I mentioned, taking a long, warm shower, or just curling up with my favorite book and a cup of tea. And honestly, sometimes joy comes in the form of a delicious treat – like finding a moment to savor a favorite chocolate bar (Tony's Chocolonely, anyone? 🍫) after a long day. It's about acknowledging those small, personal indulgences that make you feel cared for. 2. Embrace Nature & Movement: My dog walks have become a highlight! Instead of the usual route, I've been exploring new spots. Even a quick 15-minute stroll in a new park or just sitting outside for a few minutes can feel like a mini-adventure and totally shifts my mood. It's amazing how much a change of scenery and some fresh air can do for your peace of mind. Getting your body moving, even gently, is a powerful mood booster. 3. Savor Culinary Delights & Social Connections: Remember those happy hour margaritas? 🍹 That was definitely a joyful moment! Planning a simple, delicious meal – like making those amazing tacos (with Kewl Ranch or Firecracker shells, yes please!) – can be a joyful act. Or sharing it with someone you love. It doesn't have to be a grand dinner; even a cozy coffee chat with a friend or a quick video call with family can brighten your whole day. Connection is key to happiness. 4. Engage in Creative & Mindful Moments: Joy can also stem from engaging your mind in a positive way. This could be anything from doodling in a sketchbook, listening to a new podcast, or just spending 10 minutes meditating. It’s about being present and letting your mind wander in a positive way, often leading to unexpected pockets of peace and inspiration. To make this a sustainable habit, I've found it helpful to think of it like a 'joy-pack' of options. Instead of stressing about finding something new every single day, have a go-to list. Maybe Monday is 'new walk spot,' Tuesday is 'cozy treat,' Wednesday is 'call a friend,' etc. The goal isn't perfection, it's consistency in seeking out that spark. Even on days when motivation is low, choosing something small from your 'joy-pack' can make a huge difference. Think about what truly rejuvenates you, what makes you smile without effort. Start small – a favorite song, a warm bath, watching the sunset. These tiny acts accumulate into a much happier outlook. This isn't just about doing one thing; it's about actively appreciating that one thing. I'm still discovering new ideas daily, and I'd love to hear what's in your 'joy-pack'! What simple habits help you embrace happiness and break the mundane? Share your tips below – let's inspire each other to build a life filled with more peace and joy, starting today!
