Benefits Of the Sauna! ☀️☀️
🔥My boyfriend and I got our gym membership back so on our first day we of course went straight for the sauna!
I’ve always sat in it and felt better during and after but I never knew why so this time I did some research 🤓
🩻Turns out the sauna has lots of benefits for your heart health, skin, lungs, and mood. It does make you sweat out so many toxins so if you struggle with acne, be sure to wash your face as soon after as possible. I like to go in for 5 min or so before a workout to stretch and get my body warm and after my workout I do 10-15 minutes again to stretch and relax. If you have room and are wanting a more active approach you could sit in and use mini arm weights or ankle weights or do things that require small space like calf raises and squats. I’ve even seen girls do a small ab workout on the bench!
💪🏼All in all it is a great pre and post addition to your workout and you can get so many benefits from it! Just listen to your body and don’t over do it!!! It gets super hot so some people can only do a few minutes in. Oh and drank lotssss of water to replenish:)

Using the sauna can provide numerous health benefits that contribute to your overall wellness. One major advantage is improved circulation, which helps deliver oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. This can lead to lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Moreover, regular sauna sessions can relieve stress and promote relaxation, enhancing your mood and mental health. The heat from the sauna opens airways, which may aid in improved breathing and lung function, making it beneficial for those with asthma or other respiratory conditions. The skin benefits from the elevated temperatures as well; sweating helps to flush out impurities, leaving your skin looking glowy. Additionally, the sauna supports muscle recovery post-workout, alleviating soreness and stiffness by increasing blood flow to your muscles. Engaging in sauna workouts, like using mini weights or doing light exercises, can also maximize your time spent there, while still enjoying the heat and relaxation it offers. Lastly, hydration is key; make sure to replenish fluids after each session to maintain optimal health.
