Vanilla Brown Butter Cookies🤎🍦

Full recipe from Broma Bakery! 🥰☺️

Recipe yields 16-20 cookies depending on how big you make them.

I wish mine would have flattened out more and gotten crinkly but they still had a great flavor and so chewy! If you love the sweet and salty combo, you can sprinkle them with extra sea salt.

Also, when browning the butter. Be patient and stir frequently. It takes awhile but you don’t want to over brown it and lose all the liquid - this would result in dry cookies ˙◠˙

... Read moreBrown butter is the star of these cookies, adding a nutty depth of flavor that enhances the sweetness of vanilla. To achieve the perfect brown butter, heat unsalted butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns a golden brown and emits a nutty aroma. Combining 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup granulated sugar creates a caramel-like sweetness that pairs beautifully with the brown butter. For texture, fold in a mix of 3/4 cup flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking soda, and a pinch of sea salt, ensuring all dry ingredients are well incorporated. After mixing, let the dough chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This step is crucial as it firms up the dough, resulting in a cookie that maintains its shape while baking. To bake, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and roll the dough into balls, baking them for 10-12 minutes until they are golden brown around the edges and slightly soft in the middle. Let them cool on a wire rack and enjoy the delicious flavors of sweet and salty notes in every bite!
