Gel Nails DIY 💅🏼
The easiest at home Gel Nails!! Affordable and Safe on Nails ☺️
No drills, grinders, or harsh acetone - just simple products that keep your nails healthy.
I will say the peel off base makes the polish lift after a few days so if you want them to last longer, skip this step! But if you’re like me and want a change after 3-5 days, try the peel off base :)
I’ve tried olive and June polish, OPI, gelLED, and Kiss and they all work great. Just pick up your favorite colors in a polish that requires the LED light and try them out. I get my polish at Target, Walmart, or Sally’s 🤩

Doing gel nails at home has truly been a game changer for me, especially when it comes to balancing self-care and budget. One tip I’ve learned is that prepping your nails properly before applying any products is crucial. Filing, buffing, and wiping with an alcohol pad ensure the gel adheres well and lasts longer. While the peel-off base is wonderful for those who love to switch colors every few days without scraping off harsh gels, I noticed it starts lifting after about 3-5 days. For longer wear, I recommend skipping this peel-off base step and going for a traditional gel base for a more durable finish. That said, if you enjoy experimenting with colors weekly, the peel-off base saves you from damage and discomfort when removing polish. Personally, I enjoy trying brands like Olive and June and GelLED because their polishes cure quickly under LED light and offer vibrant colors. You don’t need a fancy salon setup—purchasing these from accessible stores like Target or Sally’s makes it convenient. I also always apply cuticle oil at the end of my manicure; it keeps my nails healthy and adds a polished look. If you’re new to gel nails at home, starting with a simple routine—base, color coats, top coat, and curing under an LED lamp—is best. Avoid harsh acetone removers; instead, opt for gentle nail polish removers that won’t dry out your nails. With some practice and patience, you’ll find this DIY method an easy and affordable way to maintain beautiful gel nails without sacrificing nail health.
