Easy Diablo Sauce! 🌶️🍅🧀

A recipe you’ll be making weekly! I created this recipe back in 2021 and my boyfriend has been requesting it regularly ever since❤️ I should note, you can make this spicier with extra crushed red pepper or Calabrian chilis or Mae or mild by omitting any spice at all (this would result in a creamy tomato Alfredo)

The key is to cook everything slow to give it all time to combine, infuse, and melt together. When I first made it, we of course served it over pasta but we have found so many other delicious uses for it!

Ways to enjoy:

- over pasta 🍝

- as pizza sauce (imagine a Diablo chicken pizza w garlic butter crust??)

- diablo chicken wraps

- make a Diablo fondue by adding extra cheese into the recipe

- dipping sauce for breadsticks!

- the opportunities are endless ☺️

Beyond pasta, I enjoy experimenting by doubling the cheese to create a Diablo fondue, which is incredible for dipping crispy breadsticks during gatherings. When it comes to pairing, this Diablo sauce shines on a homemade chicken pizza with a garlic butter crust, or wrapped inside warm tortillas for delicious Diablo chicken wraps. Fresh basil or oregano added at the end brightens the sauce beautifully, but if you’re short on fresh herbs, dried versions work just as well. Overall, this versatile sauce is something I tend to make weekly because it’s easy, comforting, and endlessly adaptable.
