Toddlerhood is an exciting yet challenging phase filled with rapid growth in independence and personality development. From personal experience, I’ve seen how the phrase “Whatever stage” truly applies to every bit of a toddler's behavior — unpredictable, strong-willed, and wonderfully unique. During this period, toddlers begin asserting themselves in ways that test patience but also help them learn boundaries and self-control. Encouraging this independence with loving guidance helps toddlers develop confidence while ensuring they feel secure. One of the best ways I found to support my toddler’s independence is by creating safe spaces like a “PARK” area or play zone where they can explore freely. This aligns with the recognition that “In toddlerhood this is” a critical stage for sensory and motor skill development. As toddlers grow, their personality really comes through, making each day a new adventure. It's important to celebrate their individuality while maintaining routines that provide structure. The balance between freedom and limits is delicate but rewarding.
