Mission Prayer Requests - June 7
Today is our first full day in Ecuador, and one of our biggest prayer requests is unity.
When a team comes together from different backgrounds, personalities, and experiences, unity doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when we intentionally choose humility, patience, grace, and love. As we serve families, share the Gospel, and work alongside local churches, we want Christ to be reflected not only in what we do, but in how we treat one another.
Please pray that God would bind our team together, help us encourage one another, and keep our focus on His mission. Pray that we would be of one heart and one mind as we serve Him this week.

On mission trips like ours to Ecuador, I've learned firsthand how crucial unity is to the success and impact of the team. Each person brings their unique background, which can lead to differences in opinion and approach. However, choosing to embrace humility and patience intentionally helps us align with each other’s strengths and weaknesses. For example, setting daily intentions as a group to practice grace and support one another can transform challenging moments into opportunities for growth. I remember a day when cultural misunderstandings arose—but by focusing on love and open communication, we resolved those tensions and strengthened our bond. The Bible verse Ephesians 4:3 reminds us to "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." This guidance is more than just a phrase; it’s a call to action during missions and everyday life. Reflecting Christ in how we treat one another enhances our outreach and deepens our impact with the communities we serve. Praying for unity also means lifting up the team’s collective spirit, asking that God would guide our interactions and keep our shared mission at the forefront. It’s a humbling experience to see how unified faith and teamwork can accomplish so much more than any individual effort.
