Tart Burner Review - Fall Edition
With fall slowly approaching and the hurricane Helene hitting with gloomy skies, I thought it was a good time to bring out the warm fall scents!
All of these were purchased from Walmart
-Soft Cashmere & Amber
This smell is clean and reminds me of curling up in a blanket and reading with a nice warm cup of coffee! The scent could be used year round and is so inviting
-Lemon Pumpkin Shortbread
So I actually bought this one last season but it is still one of my favorites! I love the lemon smell that comes from this wax melt. It reminds me of lemon cookies that my great aunt used to make.
-Wild Berries & Cheesecake
This one is good for those who aren’t quite ready to jump into fall yet! There’s citrus undertones and made the house smell like freshly baked cobbler. Super yummy 🤤
-Golden Apple
I love this wax melt! The smell is a little perfume-ish. Reminds me of the apple body spray from Bath & Body Works. Regardless I loved the apple scent from it and have it in the burner now. 💖
Hey scent lovers! So, you've got your hands on some amazing fall wax melts, maybe even some Better Homes & Gardens or ScentSationals like the ones I mentioned. But if you're new to the world of tart burners, or just looking for some extra tips to get the most out of your cozy autumn scents, then you've come to the right place! I often get asked 'how do I even use these things?' so I thought I'd share my go-to guide. First off, using a tart burner is super simple. If you have an electric warmer, just plug it in and place one or two wax cubes (depending on your warmer size and desired intensity) into the dish. For traditional burners with a tea light, pop a small, unscented tea light into the base and place your wax melt in the upper dish. Light the tea light, and within minutes, your home will be filled with delightful aromas – whether it's the warm notes of Soft Cashmere & Amber with its Bergamot and Sandalwood, or the fruity blend of Wild Berries & Cheesecake! To make sure you get the best experience, here are a few things I've learned: Placement is Key: I love placing my burner in a central spot like the living room or kitchen. This helps the scent diffuse throughout a larger area. Just make sure it’s on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and anything flammable. Safety first, always! Don't Overdo It: While it's tempting to use multiple cubes for a stronger scent, sometimes less is more. Start with one cube, especially if you're trying out a new scent like the Golden Apple with its hint of Honey Drizzle, and see how strong it is. You can always add more! Scent Longevity: Most wax melts, like the ones from Better Homes & Gardens, will give you a good 8-12 hours of fragrance per cube. Once the scent starts to fade, that’s your cue to change it out. You'll know when your Lemon Pumpkin Shortbread isn't quite as zesty anymore! And what about cleaning your tart burner? It’s easier than you think! Once the wax has cooled and hardened, you have a few options. My favorite method is to turn the warmer on for just a few minutes, just until the bottom layer of wax loosens. Then, I can usually slide the hardened wax right out. If it’s stubborn, gently push it out with a rubber spatula. Wipe the dish clean with a paper towel, and you’re ready for your next amazing scent adventure. Sometimes I even use cotton balls to absorb the melted wax if I'm in a hurry. Using wax melts has totally transformed how I make my home feel cozy and inviting. There’s something so comforting about walking into a house filled with the perfect autumn aroma. I hope these tips help you enjoy your tart burner and fall wax melts even more!
