Where did you get your baby’s name?

My first name is Elizabeth, being named after my great grandmother. I love the name it has a strong meaning to me and I’m very family oriented. I was blessed with a daughter and wanted to name her Elizabeth but wasn’t sure if I should make that her first name or middle name. I read the name Emily Elizabeth somewhere and thought it was so pretty I had to name my daughter that. My husband has a great grandmother named Lea and since I was using a family name he wanted to combine the two which I loved. However he couldn’t remember the spelling so we chose ‘Emilee Elizabeth’ for our daughter. It’s so beautiful to me and it fits her.

My second daughter we weren’t so easily driven for a name with her. We went through so many posts, websites, trying to find a name we could agree on. The first one we chose was Miah (said as Mya) but everyone assumed Mia (meeya) so we decided against it. Then with the thought of it’d be cute to keep them both with e names we narrowed it down and as I’ve said I love Elizabeth so for our second daughter we dropped the Beth and used Eliza. We wanted to use a family name with her too so after my mom we named her ‘Eliza Michelle’. I loved the sound of it I love “yelling” it at her when she’s acting crazy 😂 it just fits.

So that’s our story behind our names what’s the story behind yours? 🥰
