The BIG question. What in the freak happened ⁉️
A simple 20min run 🏃 turned into a life changing experience.
I tripped, looked down and had a complete dislocation, later finding out I had an artery blockage in the foot. 🦶
Two emergency surgeries later I woke 👀 up with this external fixator on. 😮 freaking jaw drop moment.
Who know whats weird!? My body and mind truly took care of me. I was calm, NOT COOL, and collected. I just telling myself, “it’s just a leg” 🦵
I’ll never forget the saying. “It takes 3️⃣ equally positive thoughts to recover 1️⃣ negative thought”. So, i started from the beginning with positive thoughts. 💭
I’v never been through surgery of any kind before, i’v never been the patient before, and i’v never experienced emence pain. 🤕
I would be lying if I didn’t mention my faith, my amazing family and friends that have been there for me every step of the eay. 👣
Every single day, ☀️ I remind myself simply how lucky I am for it could have been worse. My path in life that I thought was correct needed correction, and ultimately there is was a lesson to be learned.
I have truly 👄 taken a step back to listen, learn, be patient, and love love love those that never left my side.
Always remember that it’s okay to cry, get mad, be frustrated, and suffer but, it’s NOT okay to make that a chronic habit. From day one ☝️ it’s a must to help your self become a better YOU.
XOXO,
MamaT

Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, as illustrated by personal stories of overcoming adversity. Whether it’s a physical injury or mental distress, understanding the power of positivity is crucial. Techniques like mindfulness, which promote staying present and grounded, can help individuals manage stress and anxiety during difficult times. Additionally, creating a nurturing support system composed of friends, family, and supportive communities can foster resilience and healing. It's essential to harness positive thoughts as a tool for recovery, allowing individuals to shift focus from pain and suffering to hope and healing. Drawing from personal experiences can inspire others, reminding them that they are not alone in their struggles. Incorporating practices such as gratitude journals or meditation can further promote a positive mindset, encouraging individuals to recognize and celebrate small victories on their road to recovery. Ultimately, the journey to healing may be challenging, but embracing positivity and leaning on support can lead to personal growth and transformation.

Also take your time on your recovery. When I fractured my my knee the hardest part was having to depend on others even to go to the bathroom.
