Leona Kingscholar letting us know to be prepared for his anime spotlight 🦁 #twst #twistedwonderland #ツイステ #ツイステッドワンダーランド #leonakingscholar @Disney+ @ディズニープラス
As a huge Twisted Wonderland fan, I absolutely can't contain my excitement after watching the teaser for the 'Twisted Wonderland: The Animation – Episode of Savanaclaw'! Leona Kingscholar is finally getting his spotlight, and it looks like it's going to be absolutely epic. This teaser, which first debuted at Disney Hong Kong Disneyland on November 13th, truly set the stage for what’s to come in the anime's Season 2. If you're like me, you're probably buzzing with anticipation for how they'll adapt the Savanaclaw dorm's story arc. From what I've seen, the animation project is definitely in progress, and it was confirmed that Seasons 2 and 3 have already been greenlit – talk about amazing news! The teaser itself opens with the Heartslybul crest before dramatically shifting to the Savanaclaw dorm leader, Leona Kingscholar, emerging from the shadows. The iconic line, "Be prepared!" (or '覚悟しろよ、思い知らせてやる' which roughly translates to 'Prepare yourself, I'll teach you!') gave me chills! It's such a classic call to action, perfectly encapsulating Leona's powerful and cunning persona. Many fans, including myself, have always seen the strong resemblance between Leona Kingscholar and Scar from Disney's The Lion King, and seeing him in this animation style brings that connection to life even more vividly. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the anime explores Leona's ambition and the dynamics within the Savanaclaw dorm. It's not just us fans who are excited; even the voice actors and original creator are hyped! Taito Ban, the Japanese voice actor for Jack Howl, shared his enthusiasm, and Yana Toboso, the brilliant mind behind Twisted Wonderland, expressed her delight with "Cool Leona" after seeing the special footage. Their excitement just makes me even more confident that this adaptation will be handled with care and passion. Beyond the anime, for those who want to dive deeper into the Savanaclaw story, there's already a wealth of content available. The 'Disney Twisted-Wonderland: Usurper from the Wilds: The Novel' is set for an English release on January 27th next year, which is fantastic for English-speaking readers. Also, 'Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Manga – Book of Savanaclaw' has officially caught up with its Japanese release, with two volumes already out in English. It's suspected that a few more chapters will conclude the series, perhaps even ending in a trilogy. This steady stream of Savanaclaw content – from the anime to the manga and novels – means we'll have plenty to explore and enjoy. I'm personally looking forward to comparing the different adaptations and seeing how each medium brings the 'Episode of Savanaclaw' storyline to life. What are you most excited to see or read about Leona Kingscholar and Savanaclaw in the upcoming anime or existing media? Let me know!
