Some of my regular Trader Joe’s purchases
I go to Trader Joe’s almost once a week! Here are a few of the items I regularly purchase.
You know how much I rave about my weekly Trader Joe's runs, and while I have a ton of favorites, there’s one item that consistently saves my week: their Organic Jasmine Rice. Seriously, if you haven't tried this yet, you are missing out on a serious meal prep game-changer! What makes it so special? First off, it’s organic, which is a big plus for me. But the real magic is the convenience. These little microwave pouches are quite literally "Microwave Perfect In 3 Minutes." I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come home exhausted after a long day, and thanks to this frozen jasmine rice, I've had a delicious, wholesome base for my dinner ready in a flash. No more waiting 20 minutes for dry rice to cook, no more guessing water ratios – just pop it in, and you're good to go. It’s truly a "Meal prep staple!" I use this rice for practically everything. For a super quick and satisfying dinner, I often pair it with some of Trader Joe's other amazing finds. For instance, I love heating up their BBQ Teriyaki Chicken or the Middle Eastern Style Seasoned Beef Patties (just like the ones I mentioned pairing with naan bread for a quick lunch!). A scoop of warm jasmine rice alongside these, maybe with some steamed veggies, and dinner is served. It's incredibly versatile. Beyond main dishes, this organic jasmine rice is fantastic for building wholesome lunch bowls. I’ll often combine it with their Triple Washed Chopped Kale, some fresh Mini Cucumbers (which are great for chopping and snacking on too!), and a sprinkle of that delicious Goat's Milk Cheese with Honey I adore – trust me, it adds a lovely creamy sweetness to salads. Even for breakfast, while I usually lean towards the Roasted Potatoes with Peppers and Onions (which I love with sausage and a fried egg!), a leftover scoop of jasmine rice can be transformed into a quick savory breakfast bowl with an egg and some hot sauce. It’s all about maximizing convenience and flavor. A little tip when microwaving: make sure to fluff it gently with a fork after it's done. Sometimes, if it seems a bit dry, adding a tiny splash of water or broth before heating can make it extra fluffy and moist. The texture is always wonderfully tender, and that signature fragrant jasmine aroma really comes through. Compared to cooking dry jasmine rice from scratch, which requires more time and cleanup, or even other frozen rice brands, Trader Joe's version stands out for its consistent quality, organic certification, and sheer ease of use. It’s truly an essential item in my freezer, helping me stay on track with healthy eating even on the busiest days. If you're looking to simplify your cooking without sacrificing taste, definitely add this to your next Trader Joe's haul!
