Padre carga a su hija “therian” 😱🐶😂
When my daughter first told me she identified as a therian, I admit, I was a bit puzzled. 'What's a therian?' was my first thought. Like many parents, I immediately hit the internet, searching for information, watching videos, and even using AI tools to help me quickly understand this identity. What I found was a vibrant community and a deep, intrinsic connection some people feel to non-human animals. For those unfamiliar, therianthropy isn't about pretending to be an animal; it's about a deep, internal sense of being a non-human animal on a spiritual or psychological level. It's an ingrained part of their identity. My daughter explained it to me as feeling a profound connection to a specific animal, almost as if a part of her soul resonates with that creature. For her, it’s a wolf – its loyalty, its wildness, its pack mentality. It’s not a phase, nor is it a delusion. It’s simply who she feels she is, internally. My initial reaction, like any parent wanting the best for their child, was concern. Would she be bullied? Would she feel isolated? But more importantly, I realized my role wasn’t to question her identity but to understand and support her. I started by listening, really listening, to what she was trying to tell me. I learned about 'shifts,' which are experiences where therians feel closer to their theriotype (their animal identity), whether it’s a mental shift, a phantom limb shift (feeling non-existent animal limbs), or even a dream shift. Supporting my therian daughter has meant creating a safe and affirming environment at home. We talk openly about her experiences. Sometimes, it’s as simple as letting her express herself through creative outlets, like drawing her theriotype or spending time in nature. We've even looked into local therian-friendly communities online, making sure she feels connected and understood by peers who share similar experiences, always with an emphasis on safety and age-appropriateness. It's about validating her feelings and identity, just as I would any other aspect of her personality. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of acceptance. Our children are unique individuals, and our job as parents is to nurture their authentic selves. It might seem unconventional to some, but to her, it's a fundamental part of who she is. This journey has actually brought us closer. It’s taught me to be more open-minded, to challenge my own preconceptions, and to always lead with love and understanding. Seeing her confident and happy in her identity is the greatest reward. My daughter's journey as a therian has been a profound and beautiful experience for our entire family, full of learning, laughter, and unconditional love.
