Have you drank your water today?

Adding flavor into your water still counts as water. You are still consuming fluids that don't have dehydration qualities, such as alcohol (vodka, run, wine, beer, etc.). Coffee does actually count, too. it is controversial. However, it still counts as fluids going in that don't dehydrate you.

... Read moreStaying hydrated is essential for maintaining overall health, and understanding what counts as hydration is key. Many people adore flavored water, and it's a great way to increase your fluid intake while adding variety to your hydration routine. Adding slices of fruits, herbs like mint, or even a splash of citrus can enhance the taste without introducing harmful sugars. Interestingly, coffee also contributes to your hydration status. Although traditionally thought to be dehydrating due to its caffeine content, moderate coffee consumption can still provide the body with necessary fluids. It’s important to balance your beverage choices, however. When considering those occasional mixed drinks, remember they are also hydrating; just don't overdo it if you're concerned about sugar and calorie content. Incorporating more fluids into your everyday meals is easier than you think! Try soups or smoothies that boost hydration without counting against your daily water goals. Hydration won’t just keep you energized; it also plays a role in digestion, cognitive function, and temperature regulation. So, whether it’s a refreshing herbal tea or a delicious low-calorie flavored water, there are many options that can help you meet your hydration needs effectively!

Yeah absolutely! And if anyone thinks this makes it "juice", they should look up the solid matter in a glass of actual fruit juice compared to the amount in these tiny packets. (Though fruit juice also counts as water intake, in fact, doctors recommend it while pregnant because of limited stomach space.)
