I’m really surprised they didn’t do Happy Meals since this is a kids movie? Would have been so much more fun with toys for the kids. Especially since they waited so long to do this? Still fun, but I don’t think I’ll be buying again after this 😂

When I first heard about the McDonald's Kpop Demon Hunters collaboration, I was excited, thinking it would come in the form of Happy Meals with fun toys for kids. However, the reality was quite different. Instead of affordable Happy Meals, McDonald’s released a special set that includes a box, unique fry seasoning, and a collector card, priced at over $13. This is significantly higher than a regular 10-piece nugget meal, which I usually pay around $11 for. What caught my attention was the absence of any toy or kid-friendly item, which seemed like a missed opportunity considering the movie's target audience. The box instructs you to pour your fries in, sprinkle some seasoning, roll it, and shake to enhance the flavor—a unique way to enjoy fries but perhaps not enough to justify the cost for some. From personal experience, McDonald's special editions work best when they offer added value to all ages, especially kids. Happy Meals with toys create excitement and collectibility, fostering positive associations with the brand. In contrast, this Kpop Demon Hunters item feels more like a collector's item for fans and grown-ups, rather than a kid-centric promotion. If you’re a fan of the franchise or unique food pairings like ramyeon-inspired fry seasoning, this might be an interesting purchase to try. But as a regular consumer looking for value and fun for kids, I find the price point and lack of toys disappointing. I hope McDonald's considers adding Happy Meal versions with themed toys in the future to better engage families and young movie fans.
