1. Buddhism will become a "religion of pleading."
If the Buddha had won through other manpower, Buddhism would not have emphasized "self-reliance," but instead would have become a ritual for blessing or reliance on sacred things, because success is not due to our own perseverance.
2. The value of "human" will diminish.
The Buddha's victory with prestige is evidence that "normal humans" can escape their suffering with their own potential. If they have to use angels to help, it's like saying, "This man can't do it himself," which makes the Dharma look far away from us.
3. The law of karma will lack magic.
Prestige is the sum of good deeds, and the use of prestige wins the devil, which proves that "good is good," which is true and has great power. If you use external powers, the rules of cause and effect may no longer be meaningful.
