The word "Buddha of the First" that many Thais know today does not appear directly in the Theravada Triangle as the name of one of the Buddhas, but is a concept that comes from the beliefs of Buddhism, the mythology, and especially from the outreach of the Buddha of the Black Monkey.
Who is the Buddha Pathom?

The First Buddha refers to the earliest enlightened Buddha in this universe.

He is the archetype of the creation of Buddha.

Who mentioned the first one?
If asked historically,
There is no evidence in the Theravada Tripitaka that it mentions "Buddha the First," according to such a name.
There is no evidence that the first disciples made clear mention of him.
But if asked in a belief that is prevalent in Thailand,
The one who made the name "Buddha the First" widely known was the King of the Black Monkey.
Did the Tripitaka mention the first Buddha?
In Theravada Buddhism, several Buddhas are mentioned, e.g.
Buddha, the dragon
Buddha Gokanava.
Buddha Guspa
And the Buddha.
But it did not specify which of them was "the first of the universe."
The reason is that Buddhism sees
