จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่ได้ไปเที่ยวเกาะช้าง 5 วัน 4 คืน จะบอกเลยว่าเกาะนี้เหมาะกับคนที่ต้องการพักผ่อนตามไลฟ์สไตล์สโลว์ไลฟ์จริงๆ บรรยากาศธรรมชาติผสมผสานกับความสะดวกสบาย สำหรับผู้ที่วางแผนเที่ยวแบบประหยัดงบ การเลือกพักฝั่งซ้ายที่สงบกว่าและมีที่พักราคาย่อมเยา รวมทั้งกินอาหารท้องถิ่นที่ราคาไม่แพง ถือเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีมาก ส่วนคนที่ชอบความคึกคัก มีร้านอาหาร คาเฟ่ บาร์เปิดยาวถึงกลางคืน ฝั่งขวาก็ตอบโจทย์ได้ดีเช่นกัน ค่าใช้จ่ายหลักๆ ที่ควรคำนึงถึงคือ ค่ารถและเรือข้ามฟากซึ่งราคาเฉลี่ยประมาณ 1,800 บาท/คน สำหรับไป-กลับ รวมทั้งค่าเช่ารถบนเกาะประมาณ 250 บาท/วัน (ไม่รวมค่าน้ำมัน) และถ้าอยากเพิ่มความสนุกด้วยการเหมาเรือไปดำน้ำชมปะการังส่วนตัว ราคาจะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 4,800 บาทตลอดทริป ซึ่งเหมาะกับคนที่ชอบความเป็นส่วนตัวและเงียบสงบ ที่พักบนเกาะช้างมีหลายเรตราคาให้เลือก ตั้งแต่ราคาประหยัดจนถึงรีสอร์ทหรู โดยเฉลี่ยประมาณ 1,100 บาท/คืน หากไปกัน 2 คน ภายใต้งบ 10,000 บาทสำหรับ 5 วัน 4 คืน ก็สามารถจัดการได้ถ้าคุมค่าอาหารและกิจกรรมเล็กๆ น้อยๆ อย่างการเข้าชมสถานที่หรือกิจกรรม Join Trip ดำน้ำที่ราคา 800+ บาท อย่างไรก็ดี การเที่ยวช่วงไฮซีซั่นอาจมีราคาสูงขึ้นตามความต้องการของนักท่องเที่ยว โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเมื่อค่าน้ำมันและเศรษฐกิจมีผลต่อค่าครองชีพ เมื่อวางแผนล่วงหน้าจะช่วยให้ควบคุมงบประมาณได้ดีขึ้น สุดท้ายอยากแนะนำให้ไปทั้งสองฝั่งเพื่อสัมผัสบรรยากาศที่แตกต่าง ทั้งความสงบแบบธรรมชาติฝั่งซ้าย และความมีชีวิตชีวาจากฝั่งขวา จะทำให้ทริปเกาะช้างครบถ้วนและประทับใจมากขึ้นแน่นอน
