David and Lucy!

Stepping into the shoes of David and Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was an absolute dream come true at Anime Frontier this year! The energy of the convention was electric, and getting to embody such iconic characters alongside my partner made the whole experience unforgettable. We poured so much love and detail into our costumes, wanting to do justice to these fan-favorite Night City legends. For my Lucy cosplay, the most critical element was definitely the pink wig. Finding just the right shade and style to match her ethereal look took some serious searching, but it paid off – it really set the tone for the whole outfit. I also focused on recreating her signature cybernetic enhancements and outfit, ensuring every piece felt authentic to her character. My partner, on the other hand, absolutely rocked David Martinez. His yellow jacket was a standout piece, instantly recognizable to any Edgerunners fan. We spent ages making sure those intricate cybernetic details on his arm and face were spot on, adding that extra layer of authenticity that truly makes a cosplay pop. One of the highlights was finding the perfect spots for our photos. We managed to create some fantastic indoor shots, with me reclining on a brown couch, channeling Lucy's calm yet powerful presence, while my partner, as David, stood protectively behind me, looking straight at the camera. It felt like we were truly in a scene from the anime! The atmosphere at Anime Frontier was so supportive; we had so many people come up to us, recognizing David and Lucy, and sharing their love for Cyberpunk. It's such a fantastic feeling when all your hard work is appreciated by fellow fans. Cosplay, for me, is about more than just dressing up; it's about celebrating characters you adore and connecting with a community that shares your passion. Bringing David and Lucy to life helped us channel their confidence and unique style. It's amazing how a well-executed costume, with attention to details like David’s yellow jacket and Lucy’s pink wig, can truly transform you and create such a striking visual impact. The whole process, from planning and crafting to posing for photos and interacting with other cosplayers, was incredibly rewarding. We're already thinking about our next big project!
