Low Light Photography with Vivo x300 Pro
This is my personal opinion.
Focus on photography only and no additional image editing from the app or the additional photo editing program. It focuses mainly on AutoMode. It may not be used in all modes or lens stages because it is a lot. 😂
Although the Vivo X300 Pro (top model 2026) is called a god camera, especially a handshake with ZEISS and a big sensor, when it is used in "low light," there are still some points that people like to take pictures to know. 😉
1. The spontaneity of the image 🌿
• In very low light, Vivo's AI often tries to extract too much detail in the dark part, sometimes making the image look "as bright as day," which can upset the night's realistic atmosphere. 😅
• When shooting in very low light, the noir reduction system may make some surfaces, such as leaves or plaster walls, look as smooth as a painting, if zoomed carefully.
2. Unique problems of lenses 🔎
• Despite the T * Coating from ZEISS, if taken at a very bright angle against a dark background, there can still be some reflection in the lens at certain angles, which can be very distracting when shooting NightMode.
3. Performance of secondary lens in low light 🌚
• The main lens is doing very well, but the ultrawide lens is also worse in low light, it is easier to find noises, and the edges are not sharp. 😅
• When using a Telephoto 200MP lens, zoom in a dark place, the focus can be slower or more viscous than when shooting in a bright place. (I'm not covering it.)
4. White Balance Management
• When shooting Portrait at night using light (orange light from a light bulb), the system will process the skin color a little yellower than usual.
• When you see complex light (like back in the night), HDR sometimes doesn't handle very bright parts very smooth, making the bright parts look "flat."
5. Personal use experience
• Night Mode, or high-resolution pictures in low light, requires about 2-4 seconds of "hold" and "post-shoot processing," making it unsuitable for shooting fast-moving objects at night. A lot of processing heats the machine. The more many pictures are taken, the harder it works, the faster it decreases.
• The photos are beautiful in the Vivo album app, but when you take them in another app (like Google Photos or social media), the Gain Map management may be distorted from what you saw when you finished shooting. Try sending them to someone else and check the image from that phone as if it were a file from Vivo. 😆
⚠️ Brief summary 😆
If you like to take pictures at night and want realistic pictures like the original, try switching to ZEISS Natural Color or Pro Mode (RAW) to reduce the AI operation a bit. This should solve the problem better and get a more pleasant picture. 😄
