The Scripture For The Sabbath Day. When You Read This Scripture,Look At It More Like An NBA,NFL Or MLB Type Of Draft. If You're Being Picked,It Has To Be For A Reason. They'll Look At All Of Your Stats Before Deciding If They'll Want You On Their Team. A Good Majority Of Them Are Hand Picked Once They Look Back At Your High School/College Records And How Good That You Can Play With The Team. Well,This Is The Same Thing When It Comes To The Father. If You're Being Chosen By Him,He Looks At All Of Your Stats Also(Love,Kindness, Well-mannered Etc.). There's A Purpose For You To Complete While You're Being Drafted. You Won't Know What It Is Until You Pray About It And Give Yourself To The Father,He Will Show You The Way. Once It Has Been Given To You,You Just Have To Follow Each Of Them With Every Chance That You Get. There's A Reward In Each Of Them. Reflecting on Ephesians 2:10, I found a powerful analogy that likens being chosen by God to the intense selection process of professional sports drafts like the NBA, NFL, or MLB. Just as athletes are evaluated on their skills, stats, and character before being drafted, we too are 'handpicked' by God based on qualities like love, kindness, and our ability to work well in His team. This perspective has personally helped me understand that every challenge and opportunity in life is part of a greater divine plan. When I started praying earnestly and focusing on what God might be calling me to accomplish, I discovered a renewed sense of purpose. It’s like receiving a playbook for life that only unfolds as I follow His guidance diligently. The journey isn’t always quick or easy – sometimes it’s a long walk full of uncertainty, but the rewards are deeply fulfilling. Following God’s plan requires patience, faith, and the readiness to embrace each task with love and dedication. It’s encouraging to remember that being chosen involves responsibility and gifts tailored for us specifically, designed to bless others and grow us spiritually. Approaching life with this 'draft' mindset has made me more grateful for my unique talents and more committed to showing kindness, patience, and respectful behavior. These qualities, as noted, are like the stats God reviews before selecting us. And just like a team member strives to contribute to their team’s success, we are called to fulfill our purpose for the greater good. As a personal practice, I now dedicate time during the Sabbath to reflect, pray, and prepare for the new week ahead, trusting that God’s plan will continue to unfold. It’s a peaceful and empowering way to navigate life knowing that I’m part of a divine masterpiece, created with intentionality for good works planned long ago.
