Lately, I’ve been learning that you can’t step into what God has for you while still carrying what He never asked you to hold.
For so long, I carried things that were never mine—fear, guilt, hurt, other people’s expectations, and wounds from seasons I had already survived.
But there is so much freedom in surrender.
Freedom in letting go.
Peace in trusting Him.
Healing in allowing Him to restore the places that have been broken.
Growth isn’t always about becoming someone new. Sometimes it’s about becoming who God created you to be before the world told you who you should be. 🤍
What is God teaching you in this season?
In my personal journey, I've realized that holding onto past hurts, fear, or guilt weighs heavily on my spirit and limits the blessings meant for me. Surrendering these burdens is not always easy—it requires conscious effort and faith to trust that releasing them leads to deeper freedom and peace. What helped me was recognizing that many of the things I carried were not mine to bear at all. Expectations from others, past mistakes, or wounds from seasons long gone had accumulated silently, shaping my identity in ways I never signed up for. Once I started identifying these false burdens, I could begin to hand them over and experience restoration. Growth is often misunderstood as change or becoming someone completely new. But more profound growth is about shedding layers of conditioning and pain that masked the true self God intended us to be. It's about rediscovering your original purpose and embracing your unique path without the weight of external pressures. Allowing myself the grace to heal broken parts through faith was transformational. I found that peace began to fill spaces that fear and guilt once occupied. This process is deeply personal, and it requires patience and trust that God's timing and restoration unfold beautifully when we let go. As you reflect on your own season of life, consider what you might be carrying unnecessarily. What fears or expectations can you surrender today? Embrace the freedom that comes with trusting the journey, and remember that healing is a gift unlocked through faith and letting go.
