Sprite & Jolly Rancher Moonshine Shards

Ingredients:

- 1 cup Sprite soda

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup Jolly Rancher candies (any flavor, chopped)

- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin

- 1/4 cup water

- 1/2 cup vodka (optional, for moonshine effect)

Directions:

1. In a medium bowl, combine the Sprite and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

2. In a separate small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.

3. Once the gelatin has bloomed, microwave it for about 15-20 seconds until it is fully dissolved and liquid.

4. Add the dissolved gelatin to the Sprite and sugar mixture, stirring well to combine.

5. If using vodka, incorporate it into the mixture at this stage, ensuring everything is well blended.

6. Fold in the chopped Jolly Ranchers, mixing until they are evenly distributed throughout the liquid.

7. Pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish or silicone mold, spreading it out evenly.

8. Place the dish in the refrigerator and allow it to set for at least 4 hours or until firm.

9. Once set, remove the mixture from the dish and cut it into shards or desired shapes.

10. Store the moonshine shards in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
