Te amo hija
There are moments in life when your heart just overflows, and for me, many of those moments are tied to my incredible daughter, Lianna Grethel. 'Te amo hija' – those three simple words don't even begin to capture the depth of my feelings for her. It feels like just yesterday I was cradling her in my arms, a tiny bundle that completely changed my world, and now, here we are, celebrating the beautiful, accomplished woman she has become. I often chuckle when I recall a question someone posed to me not so long ago, perhaps seeing a hint of wistfulness in my eyes: 'CUANTOS ANOS TIENE EL BEBE QUE TE DIO EL título de MAMÁ??' (How old is the baby that gave you the title of MOM??). Well, that 'baby' is now a magnificent 34 AñOS (34 YEARS) old! It's truly amazing how quickly time flies, yet the memories of every stage of her life are as vivid as if they happened yesterday. From her first tentative steps across the living room floor to her first day of school with a shy wave goodbye, and then watching her navigate the complexities of adolescence and finally the challenges and triumphs of adulthood, each milestone has been a profound privilege to witness. Lianna has always been a beacon of light in my life. Her kindness, her unwavering resilience, and her vibrant spirit inspire me daily. She's grown into a woman who tackles challenges with grace, embraces joy with open arms, and always possesses a compassionate heart for others. She has a way of making everyone around her feel valued, a trait I admire immensely. Seeing her thrive, pursuing her passions, building her own meaningful connections, and making a positive impact in her world, fills me with an indescribable sense of pride. It's a joy unique to motherhood, a feeling that truly transforms you from the inside out and reshapes your entire perspective. Being Lianna's mom has undeniably been the greatest adventure of my life. It's taught me patience I never knew I possessed, the true meaning of unconditional love, and the profound depth of sacrifice a parent willingly makes. Through all the ups and downs, the laughter and the tears, our bond has only grown stronger. There's nothing quite like the connection between a mother and her daughter, a special understanding that often transcends words, a silent language spoken through shared glances and knowing smiles. It’s a comfort to know that no matter what, we have each other. So, if you're a parent reading this, especially another mom, I hope it resonates with you on a deep level. Take a moment today to cherish your children, no matter their age. Tell them 'Te amo hija' or 'Te amo hijo' often, because these simple yet powerful expressions of love are the vital threads that weave our family tapestries together, creating a warmth that lasts a lifetime. What are some of your most cherished memories with your children as they've grown? I’d absolutely love to hear your stories and reflections too!
