✨📚 Books I REGRET Not Buying 😫✨
✨ You ever see a book, think “I’ll come back for it”… and then spend the rest of the week regretting not grabbing it? Yeah, that’s me right now. Here are some books I should have walked out with from Barnes & Noble but didn’t (and now I’m suffering).
✊🏾 Historically Black Phrases – A hilariously thoughtful dictionary of common Black phrases, described as “a love letter to the Black community & the ways it drives culture.” As someone who loves language and culture, this one was calling my name!
🤪 Crazy as Hell – A deep dive into 100 influential and infamous Black figures, reframing their stories through a new lens. My mom always jokes about people being “CAH,” so I had to pick this up to skim through—and I should’ve taken it home!
🌫️ The Mist by Stephen King – I’m a sucker for anything King, and while the movie had me dumbfounded, the book explores mob mentality, fear, and religious fundamentalism when a small town is taken over by eerie creatures.
📖 Moral of the story? If a book catches your eye, just get it! Don’t be like me, standing in the bookstore debating, only to leave empty-handed and full of regret 😭
