✨👩🏾‍💼 ASK THESE At The End Of Your Next Interview 🧐✨

✨ You’ve made it through the questions, now it’s YOUR TURN to interview them. Employers remember the candidates who ask thoughtful, insightful questions at the end. Don’t freeze up, save these now and thank yourself later! 📝💼

📝 Here are vital questions to ask during interviews, plus why they matter (no you don’t have to ask ALL of these if you don’t want to):

💭 HOW Questions (Process + Culture Insight)–

1️⃣ “How do you give feedback or measure performance?”

→ Shows if there’s structure and fairness in evaluations. Understanding if evaluations are clear, consistent, and fair versus constantly guessing how you’re doing along the way is a big relief.

2️⃣ “How do you support internal mobility and career growth?”

→ Helps you gauge long-term growth opportunities. You really want to know if a company promotes from within or expects people to plateau or be content with stagnation.

3️⃣ “How do top performers stand out here?”

→ Asking this helps to tell you what success looks like in their eyes. Grasping the behaviors or results that are truly valued beyond the job description guides your performance.

4️⃣ “How do you support team collaboration and communication?”

→ This reveals if the team is functional or chaotic. A solid and supportive team dynamic is an efficient one.

📌 WHAT Questions (Expectations + Clarity)–

1️⃣ “What are the key skills for this role?”

→ You want to make sure you’re suitable for the role right!? This confirms if your strengths are aligned and helps you tailor your responses during the interview.

2️⃣ “What are the next steps in the interview process?”

→ Shows confidence and interest, plus, you’ll leave knowing what’s next. Employers prefer individuals who are engaged, proactive, and serious about moving forward.

3️⃣ “What does success look like after 3, 6, and 12 months?”

→ This helps you visualize your performance goals early on. You’ll be able to set realistic expectations for your first year and it’ll help you assess if the pace suits you.

4️⃣ “What are the biggest challenges someone in this role would face?”

→ This prepares you for the realities of the role, and shows them you’re ready to tackle them. Understanding this will help you be ready to hit the ground running if hired.

5️⃣ “What are the strengths of the current team, and what gaps are you hoping to fill?”

→ This tells you where you fit in, and if your skills are really needed. You get to identify your unique value and how you can complement the team.

6️⃣ “What are the opportunities for training, mentorship, or upskilling?”

→ A company that invests in and values development is one worth growing with. This reveals if they do. If they invest in their people, that’s a green flag.

❓ WHY/OPEN-ENDED Questions (Deeper Insight)–

1️⃣ “Why did you choose to work here, and why do you stay?”

→ Flip the question on them to hear real stories and values. This shows you care about more than just getting hired as you’re looking for alignment, growth, and long-term fit.

2️⃣ “Is there anything about my background that gives you pause or that you’d like me to clarify?”

→ Bold move, BUT it shows you’re coachable and confident. You’re giving the interviewer a chance to bring up any concerns while showing you’re willing to address them head-on.

✨ Interviewing Tips:

~ Practice your Qs aloud before the interview so you sound natural.

~ DON’T ask anything you could Google.

~ Write down your 3–5 go-to questions in a notebook/notepad that you bring (HINT HINT, bring one).

~ End strong and with eye contact. Confidence is ✨contagious.✨

💬 Which of these questions surprised you most? What’s a question you always ask in interviews? Drop them below! You never know, someone else might need it! ⬇️
