✨ I was so nervous to ask for a raise yall, my heart was literally falling out my butt! 😅. My boss collaborated with me by pulling me to the side to ask what rate I had in mind, and after she met with HR, they reviewed my time with the company, my efficiency, and the local market. And wouldn’t ya know it, I got the call yesterday and I’m getting a $1 raise! 🥹

✨ I’ve been with the company for a little over 2 years, and I’m now making $25.50/hour (almost at the ceiling for my position)! I work 80 hours bi-weekly, so this increase is going to really help with my cost of living and budgeting. Plus, I earn mileage reimbursement that usually adds an extra $250–$350 per check depending on how far I travel to see clients, so this is great.

💡 This experience reminded me that advocating for yourself is NOT selfish, it’s a form of self-respect. 💪🏾 Don’t let fear hold you back from asking for what you’ve earned!
