✨🤔 AYA: How To Deal With RUDE People At Work? 🤨✨
✨ Every professional faces at some point, and that’s a rude client or patient. 🙃 I’ve learned that protecting my peace is just as important as providing good service.
✨ When someone’s tone shifts or they start getting snappy, I don’t match their energy, I redirect it unless it’s desperately needed (I’ve only had to do this twice so far and that was with an intoxicated individual, and let’s just say he remembers that to this day 😂). I calmly but firmly say things like, “I understand you’re upset, but I won’t be spoken to in that way”, or “Let’s take a step back so we can move forward productively”.
✨ Setting that tone early stops a lot of problems before they start. I used to take it personally, but now? I remind myself: their frustration isn’t my responsibility. I can show compassion and keep my boundaries at the same time.
