✨🥘 Lazy Girl Dinner Idea 🍛✨
✨ Some nights I want a warm, filling comfort-food dinner without standing in the kitchen making EVERYTHING from scratch and this was definitely one of those nights. 😂🙌🏾 I grabbed everything I needed from Food Lion and put together a full dinner with Marie Callender’s Cheesy Chicken & Rice, Birds Eye’s Brussels Sprouts & Carrots, and Izzio Rosemary Garlic Focaccia Bread 😍
✨ When I tell y’all this was EASY?! Most of the cooking happened in the oven at the same temperature (I used a conversion calculator I found online to accomplish this!) so I could get everything going without juggling 50 different things at once cuz ya girl (me) would’ve been stressed asf
👩🏾🍳 How I made it:
🥘 Cheesy Chicken & Rice:
~ Removed it from the box, placed the tray on a baking sheet and baked at 375°F for 35 minutes. Then I uncovered it, gave everything a good stir, covered it again and put it back in the oven for another 20-25 minutes until everything was hot and cheesy, per the instructions 🤤
🥕 Brussels Sprouts + Carrots:
~ I sprayed my baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, poured in the frozen veggies, and baked them at 375°F for about 35 minutes. Easyyyyy side dish 🙌🏾
🥖 Rosemary Garlic Focaccia:
~ THIS might’ve been my favorite part as it was something new to try! I removed the focaccia from the package, placed it on a greased baking sheet and baked it at 375°F for 6-8 minutes. Then I melted about 1 tablespoon of butter, mixed in some garlic butter seasoning, and brushed that mixture ALLLL over the focaccia. Get down in those little pockets too because that’s where the goodness goes! 😂 Then I sliced it into individual pieces and it was ready to serve!
✨ And just like that, dinner was DONE and ready to be tore up! In my book, this goes down as a minimal effort, maximum comfort meals 👌🏾
💬 Let’s chat! Do you prefer to make everything from scratch? Or is pre-made/store bought more your jam? And which part of this plate are you grabbing FIRST, the cheesy chicken & rice, veggies, or that focaccia?! 👀 Let me know down below! 👇🏾
📍 As previously stated, I bought everything from Food Lion 🛒

If you're anything like me, some nights call for a comforting, homey meal without the hassle of cooking everything from scratch. What I love about this lazy girl dinner idea is how effortlessly you can pull together a warm, tasty plate with mostly pre-made items, all cooking harmoniously in the oven at 375°F. Using a conversion calculator to sync oven times and temperatures makes the process stress-free. For example, Marie Callender’s Cheesy Chicken & Rice heats beautifully on a baking sheet—just remember to uncover and stir midway to keep everything creamy and delicious. Roasting frozen Brussels sprouts and carrots alongside will give you perfectly tender veggies without extra prep. The standout for me was the Izzio Rosemary Garlic Focaccia bread. Brushing it with a garlic butter mixture after a quick bake brings out an incredible aroma and flavor. Don't be shy to get the butter into those little pockets on the focaccia – it makes every bite so satisfying. This approach offers a balanced meal with protein, veggies, and carbs that’s ready in under an hour, incredibly convenient on a busy evening. Using store-bought items from Food Lion means less time chopping and measuring and more time relaxing and enjoying your food. I’d recommend this dinner idea for anyone who wants a filling, flavorful meal without the fuss of multiple stovetop pots and pans. It’s also a great introduction to meal assembly with pre-made components that taste homemade. Plus, the oven doing most of the work means fewer dishes to clean afterward! For those who prefer homemade dinners, this could even serve as a starting point—feel free to swap the frozen veggies for fresh ones or enhance the rice dish with added herbs or spices. But for lazy, cozy nights, this method is a total win! Have you tried combining multiple frozen and pre-packaged items into one effortless meal? What’s your go-to easy dinner hack? I've never had lobster Mac & cheese one time before but this sounds good
