Saving $3,000 💰🤑 in 152 days 🔥

I am doing a self mini savings challenge from 1st of August through December 31st.

I am putting away $20 everyday into my savings account until the end of year which amounts to $3,040 in 152 days.

I will be using my PayPal savings account to track my progress and let the 4.3% roll over 🤑

Another great option is Credit Karma, which is a higher APY - however, I already have another savings challenge going on over there 🤭

My goal is to purchase a new YSL purse because why not 🤣

A couple things I am minimizing to accomplish my goal:

1️⃣Coffee at home ☕️

2️⃣ Meal preps - eating out only on weekends 🍱

I would suggest anyone interested in saving money to start off with a number that works for their situation.

You can start with any amount and put away daily, weekly, etc.

Also, having a savings goal will not only make it fun but also achievable

Let's get this 🍞 🤑

... Read moreI totally get that feeling of wanting a "wallet full of cash" – it's not just about the money, but the freedom and sense of accomplishment it brings! My journey to save over $3,000 in just five months really opened my eyes to how achievable big goals can be with consistent "daily deposits." It's incredible to watch your savings grow, especially when you have a clear target like my YSL purse. But beyond specific purchases, that feeling of financial security, knowing you have a cushion or are working towards something meaningful, is truly priceless. So, how do you free up that cash to start? Beyond my simple tricks like cutting back on daily coffees (making my own delicious cold brew at home saved a fortune!) and meal prepping like a pro (think big batch cooking on Sundays for the whole week), there are so many other small changes that add up. Have you looked at your subscriptions lately? Those monthly fees for services you barely use can quickly eat into your savings. Try a "no-spend" day or even a "no-spend weekend" once a month – it's a fun challenge and you'll be amazed how much you save. Another tip is to sell things you no longer need. I cleared out my closet and attic, and those extra dollars went straight into my savings account, making my "wallet full of cash" dream a reality even faster! One of the biggest motivators for me was seeing my "savings progress chart" visually. While my PayPal savings account shows the balance, nothing beats a clear visual tracker to keep you engaged. You don't need anything fancy! I've seen friends use simple printable templates, like a thermometer chart where you color in segments as you reach milestones, or even a basic spreadsheet where you track your "$20 daily deposits" and watch the total climb. There are also fantastic budgeting apps that offer visual progress dashboards. The key is to make it visible – put it on your fridge, set it as your phone background, or check your app daily. Seeing that number get closer to $3,000, or even just seeing the growth from those "daily deposits" for "152 days," is incredibly powerful. Remember how my money started to "grow" with that 4.3% APY on PayPal? That's another aspect to track! Your savings progress chart shouldn't just show your deposits, but also the interest earned. It's so satisfying to see your money making more money for you! You can even compare different high-yield savings options like Credit Karma's higher APY (5.1% was mentioned in the image!) to see where your money can work hardest for you. Regularly reviewing your progress, maybe once a week, helps you stay accountable and adjust if needed. If you miss a "daily deposit," don't beat yourself up; just add a little extra the next day or week. The goal is consistency and forward momentum towards that "$3,000+" mark within those "5 months." Ultimately, your "savings progress chart" is YOUR journey. Whether your goal is a new YSL purse, a down payment, or just building an emergency fund, tailoring your savings plan to your situation is crucial. Start with an amount that feels comfortable, even if it's less than $20 a day, and find tracking methods that excite you. The most important thing is to start and keep that visual reminder of your progress going. Soon enough, you'll be celebrating your own "wallet full of cash" moment!
