I want to answer this honestly because I think it matters more than a polished answer would.
I stay because of the conversations.
Not the commission notifications, though those are real and they matter. The conversations. The woman who reaches out at 11pm saying she has not felt like herself in years and something I posted made her feel less alone. The one who messages three months later sounding completely different than she did when we first talked. The one who says I was skeptical but I trusted you and I am so glad I did.
Those conversations are not something I had in my full time job. They are not something I expected when I started this.
I also stay because of what it has done for me personally. Not just the income, though that breathing room is real. But the version of myself I have had to become to show up for this consistently. More confident. More willing to be seen. More clear on what I actually have to offer.
I stay because this is mine. I built it in the margins of a full life and it reflects what I actually care about.
That is not nothing. That is everything.
Comment STAY if you want to be part of something that keeps you coming back 🙌
From my experience, what truly sustains my involvement is the deep, genuine conversations that go beyond just business transactions. It's incredible how sharing something as simple as a post can touch someone who's been struggling for years, making them feel less alone in their journey. These late-night messages and follow-ups months later show the real human connections that happen here. Beyond the emotional support, this journey has pushed me to evolve personally. It's not just about earning an income; it's about becoming more confident and clear about my value. Building this space in the margins of a busy life has helped me own my story and what I care about. That ownership gives me a sense of pride and motivation unlike any traditional job. If you’re considering why you might stay in a similar community or project, ask yourself what you gain emotionally and how it challenges you to grow. The conversations, the trust, and the personal breakthroughs are what keep me coming back day after day. This isn’t just work—it’s a space that reflects who I am and what matters to me. It’s everything.
