It took me a long time to realize this…

I LOVE self help books. However I couldn’t help but feel empty after reading countless books. Stopping and starting a book only to feel unhappy and buy more books a week later.

Since I’ve gotten closer to God reading the Bible I’ve noticed a change in me. Then I realized all the books I bought were to fill a spiritual void. I stopped drinking, stopped being promiscuous, started dressing modestly, started listening to Christian music, and found bible friends to keep me grounded! ☺️

Here’s the thing…NO ONE MADE ME DO IT. It was a choice I made after reading the truth about why it’s so important to protect yourself. It took time and effort to understand it all in depth, but when I did, I realized I had two options.

1. Continue living the life of buying books and filling a void.

OR

2. try things his way and see what happens 🤷🏻‍♀️

Conclusion??? His way was better! I got more out of life and conquered so much with him in my life, than without.

Remember, all the things I did was a SELF CHOICE. I’m just here to testify that my choice to let him lead works better than me doing it alone 🤷🏻‍♀️

... Read moreIn a world flooded with self-help literature, many often grapple with feelings of emptiness despite reading numerous books. Studies show that while self-help books can offer temporary insights, true fulfillment often comes from deeper spiritual connections. Engaging with spiritual texts, such as the Bible, can shift focus from materialistic pursuits to greater purpose, promoting healthier lifestyle choices. By forming supportive communities and seeking spiritual guidance, individuals can achieve lasting transformation. Furthermore, understanding the psychological impact of choice can empower readers to take charge of their lives, leading to significant changes in habits and perspectives. This shift not only uplifts personal well-being but fosters a sense of belonging among like-minded individuals. For those on their self-improvement journey, integrating faith or spirituality into their routine can redefine their approach to personal development. Consider the profound impacts of surrounding oneself with positive influences and prioritizing inner growth over external validation.
