Moving to a new country like Mexico from the USA has been a truly enriching experience for me. One of the things I cherish most is balancing my daily routine, like working from 8:00 am to 5:40 pm, while still making ample time for family and cultural traditions. For instance, recently, I was rehearsing for a special waltz dance—an activity that brings back warm memories and helps me stay connected with local customs. Family plays a huge role in my day-to-day life. Whether it's sharing meals or playing games together, these moments create a sense of belonging and joy that I really needed after relocating. Celebrating my dad's pre-birthday and participating in a novenario (a nine-day prayer tradition common in Mexican culture) allowed me to deepen my appreciation of local customs and family values. Adapting to a new lifestyle with a mix of work, family gatherings, and cultural events has shown me how important it is to embrace change with an open heart. For anyone considering a move or wanting to immerse themselves in Mexican culture, I'd say take time to enjoy both everyday routines and special celebrations. These simple yet meaningful experiences build lasting memories and help you feel at home no matter where you are.
