... Read moreHey lash artists and beauty entrepreneurs! If you’re anything like me, you know that creating the perfect lash room isn't just about aesthetics – it's about crafting an experience for your clients and a functional, inspiring space for yourself. I've spent so much time browsing for "lash room ideas" and figuring out the ideal "eyelash extension room setup," so I wanted to share some of my personal insights and tips that go beyond just pretty pictures.
First off, let’s talk about figuring out your "lash extension salon aesthetic." Before you buy a single decor piece, think about the vibe you want to create. Do you want something minimalist and sleek, or cozy and boho? Perhaps a touch of glam with velvet and gold accents? I personally love a blend of modern and comfortable, aiming for something that feels luxurious but also incredibly welcoming. Visualize your ideal client walking in – what do you want them to feel? For a brand like a "RICH LASH STUDIO," the aesthetic would likely lean towards elegance and sophistication, so every detail, from lighting to waiting area, should reflect that high-end feel.
Once you have your aesthetic hammered out, it’s all about functionality. Trust me, I learned this the hard way! A beautiful room is useless if it’s not practical. Your lash bed is paramount – it needs to be super comfortable for your clients during those long sessions. Don't skimp here! I also highly recommend investing in an ergonomic stool for yourself; your back will thank you. Lighting is another critical element. Natural light is amazing, but you’ll also need excellent task lighting for precision work, like a good ring light or an esthetician lamp that illuminates without casting shadows. Think about storage too – keeping your supplies organized and out of sight helps maintain a clean, professional look. Wall-mounted shelves or chic cabinets can be a lifesaver.
Now for the fun part: decor! This is where you can truly bring your aesthetic to life. Consider a calming color palette – soft neutrals, pastels, or even deep jewel tones can work, depending on your chosen vibe. Add personal touches like art prints that resonate with your brand, lush faux (or real, if you’re good with plants!) greenery to bring life into the space, and beautiful mirrors that not only serve a purpose but also expand the room visually. Small details like luxurious blankets for clients, a subtle diffuser with a calming scent, and soothing background music can elevate the entire experience. I’ve found that these little touches make a huge difference in client satisfaction and reviews.
Finally, don't forget the importance of branding. Even if you're a home-based studio, having a consistent look and feel helps establish your identity. From your signage to your social media, make sure it all ties back to your chosen aesthetic. Setting up my own studio was a journey, but seeing my clients relax and rave about the atmosphere makes every effort worth worth it. I’d love to hear what elements are on your must-have list for your dream lash space!
I like three my last lash artist had all pink vibe and put in work rented out her own space had her own buisness and was great Litterally hustling understood autism her son had it and she was going 7 days from 9am-9pm when it came to how much she charged it was perfect and how she handled my vertigo and consider skin conditions but the only thing was I’m 5’11 she was 4’11 so the height of the bed made it bit difficult for me and my neck and back and would hurt once I sat up 😂 but she definitely was my weekly never missed a lash appointment with her sending jobs my way when I wanted to leave my other one at the time and really was about me saving my money to because I could of let it just all fall out when I was done but I didn’t like the gaps so she gave me discount since I just wanted it removed all together. She was also long term friends with my first artist who was a busy mama with temp computer work and a new baby that couldn’t be consistent or flexible with how far I worked lived and commuted🥰 but this definitely reminded me of both of them 🩷
