Queer Things I Did Before Coming Out (Part 1)
Hey y’all! I’m starting out my Lemon8 journey now!😂 I plan on posting lifestyle content, including (but not limited to): LGBTQ+ topics, living life with type 1 diabetes, food/recipes, conscious living (eco-friendly lifestyle in a more tangible, easy-to-transition way), cleaning, hacks/tips, and more!
This post is the first part to my series: queer things I did before coming out as a lesbian (or wlw). Hope this reaches the right people and helps who it needs to help🥹 #wlw #lgbtqlifestyle #lesbiancommunity #thingsiwishiknew #lifestylecreator
Coming out is a deeply personal journey, filled with unique experiences that help shape our identities. In this first part of my series, I discuss the contradictory feelings I had while dating conventionally attractive men and exploring my identity. I once believed that my crush on 'feminine men' was just a phase, but it was part of my journey toward self-acceptance. I also share my story about struggling with self-esteem and mental health issues during this time. Like many, I also engaged in behaviors, such as using makeup to hide my scars, believing my worth was tied to societal standards of beauty. My obsession with my car had a deeper meaning, reflecting my longing for connection and acceptance. The memories tied to those experiences, like taking pictures with my car after a long wait, signify a blend of liberation and nostalgia. Sharing these vulnerable moments is crucial in understanding the communities we live in, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals. The expression of duality in dressing and feeling confident in cute outfits rather than traditionally feminine attire illustrates the complex nature of gender identity. Through this journey, I hope to empower others to embrace their true selves, reminding everyone that these experiences, though unique, resonate with many in the LGBTQ+ community.

I can’t you put your arms around his bff 😭😭😭😭😭
