Ponme Dios primero en todo tus planes
Life can get incredibly hectic, can't it? We're constantly juggling work, family, social commitments, and personal aspirations. For a long time, I found myself chasing one thing after another, always feeling a step behind. There was a constant underlying anxiety, a sense that no matter how much I accomplished, something was still missing. I’d heard the saying, "God first, and everything else will be added," but honestly, I didn't fully grasp its profound truth until I started living it. My journey began when I hit a point of burnout. I was exhausted, stressed, and despite my efforts, I felt spiritually empty. I realized I was trying to control every aspect of my life, relying solely on my own strength. It was then that I truly began to understand what it means to put God first. It’s not just a religious platitude; it’s a radical shift in perspective and a foundational principle for peace and abundance. As the saying goes, "The goal is clear: God first, and everything else will be added" – and I decided to make that my guiding principle. So, what does putting God first look like in daily life? For me, it started with dedicating the first part of my day to Him. Before checking emails or social media, I spend time in prayer, meditation, and reading scripture. It sets a peaceful tone for the entire day and helps me remember who is truly in control. It's about consciously inviting His presence into every decision, big or small. Whether it's a work dilemma, a relationship challenge, or even planning my weekend, I now pause and ask for guidance, trusting that His wisdom is far greater than my own. This doesn't mean life suddenly becomes problem-free. Challenges still arise, but my approach to them has changed dramatically. Instead of panicking, I find myself leaning on faith, believing that there’s a divine plan even in difficult situations. I've learned that "everything else will be added" doesn't always mean material wealth, but rather a richness of spirit, inner peace, unexpected solutions, and the right people appearing at the right time. I’ve seen doors open that I never even knocked on, and felt a profound sense of calm even amidst chaos. It’s truly amazing how things align when you release control and trust in a higher power. If you're feeling overwhelmed, or like something is missing, I encourage you to try prioritizing God. It’s a continuous journey, not a one-time decision. There will be days when you forget, when you get caught up in the world's demands. But gently redirecting your focus back to Him, making Him the cornerstone of your plans and your life, can bring an incredible sense of purpose, peace, and yes, truly, everything else will be added in ways you never imagined.
