New Fall Candles at HomeGoods 🎃
Stopped by my local HomeGoode and WOW! the candle section was stocked up! I’m shocked I didn’t leave with one of every rainbow ghost! As mentioned in my post, I always look for candles that I can reuse once they’ve finished burning! I would definitely use the DW Home soda candles as cups, but they can also be used to hold makeup brushes, pens, q-tips etc. Happy fall shopping :) #lemon8partner #falldecor #fallhomedecor #homegoodsfallfinds #home goods finds ✨
You know that feeling when you walk into HomeGoods and the candle aisle just calls your name? That's me every fall! I recently hit the jackpot with their new seasonal collection, and let me tell you, it's a treasure trove for anyone who loves cozy vibes and unique home decor. I spotted everything from adorable pink, yellow, iridescent, and purple ghost-shaped candles that are perfect for a touch of spooky fun, to classic pumpkin designs that scream autumn. What I really love about HomeGoods is the incredible variety and the unexpected finds. Beyond the usual suspects, I always keep an eye out for those distinctive DW Home candles. This trip, I was thrilled to see their fun soda can-shaped candles, like the 'PUMPKIN SPICED POP!' which smells heavenly, and the edgy 'VAMPIRE VENOM POTION' that's perfect for Halloween. Oh, and I even saw a really cool purple glass jar candle asking 'ARE YOU A GOOD WITCH OR A BAD WITCH?' – totally getting that one for my 'Wicked' movie nights! These aren't just candles; they're statement pieces that instantly elevate your fall home decor. They also make fantastic gifts! Now, here's my absolute favorite tip for getting the most out of your beautiful candle purchases: always think about how you can reuse the container once the wax is gone! It's not just eco-friendly; it also means you get to keep those gorgeous jars and turn them into something new. For example, those DW Home soda can candles? They're practically begging to be washed out and used as quirky drinking cups, or even pen holders on your desk. The possibilities are endless! But how do you get that stubborn wax out cleanly? This is where my go-to cleaning hacks come in, especially if you've ever wondered about the best way to remove wax from glass jars. My top secret for perfectly clean jars is the freezer method. Seriously, it’s a game-changer! Just pop your candle jar into the freezer overnight. The cold makes the wax shrink and harden, so in the morning, it often just pops right out in one solid piece. It's incredibly satisfying and leaves minimal residue to clean. If there's a little bit left, a quick scrape with a butter knife and a wipe with a paper towel usually does the trick. Another simple way is the hot water method. Carefully pour hot (not boiling) water into the jar, leaving about an inch from the top. The hot water will melt the wax, causing it to float to the surface. Let it cool completely, and the wax will solidify into a disc you can easily lift out. Just be sure to pour the melted wax into the trash, not down your drain! Once your jars are sparkling clean, the fun really begins. I use them for storing makeup brushes, cotton swabs, or even as small planters for succulents. The smaller ones can hold spices in the kitchen, and larger ones make charming candy jars. It’s all about giving these beautiful items a second life and adding a personal touch to your home, long after the last flicker of the flame. Happy fall shopping and happy repurposing!
