Moral of the story: swipe carefully—because not everyone online is who their profile swore they were.

Another challenge is the reliance on photos, which might be outdated or selectively chosen under flattering conditions like good lighting or angles. I've learned to appreciate video chats or meeting in casual public settings early on to better assess compatibility and authenticity. Ultimately, online dating profiles are just entry points. Staying cautious, open-minded, and patient allows for more genuine connections. Remember, a dating app is just a tool; the real effort lies in getting to know the person behind the screen.
