🏔️ Japan Alps Snow Wall Crossing Review in May via Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route Fine! ⛩️

Before traveling, we bought tickets in advance from the web. The system is open to book around. This one has to check on the web again when we are going.

This trip, we booked a one-way ticket from Dentetsu Toyama to Shinano Omachi.

Note: The main route on the web will only end at Ogizawa Station. From Ogizawa to Shinano Omachi, we need to buy an additional 2,000 yen, which can be added at the same time when booking on the web.

📌, when booking, you need to specify the time to get on the Cable Car from Tateyama. This one needs to calculate the time when you get on the Cable Car. And don't forget to shift the travel time from Dentetsu Toyama to Tateyama, just in case.

🎒. Actual travel date:

We came to Dentetsu Toyama Station (the station is next to Toyama Station. It's not hard to find). Let us take the QR Code from online booking and pick up the actual tickets at the station. There is an automatic ticket exchange machine. After the exchange, we will get all 2 tickets:

First (Dentetsu Toyama - > Ogizawa): This is the main card that will take the ticket throughout the journey until it reaches Ogizawa. On the ticket, there will be a Cable Car cycle time of our choice booked listed.

Second leaf (Ogizawa - > Shinano Omachi): The last bus extension we press to buy add-on.

Once the ticket is complete, for mobility, we can use the Japan Alps travel case to pick it up at Shinano Omachi. It costs 4,000 yen per ticket (this is paid in cash only. Prepare the money to fit).

We started taking the train from Dentetsu Toyama to Tateyama. It took about an hour to watch the side of the road. Just a moment to Tateyama Station.

When we got to Tateyama station, the real excitement started here, because we were going through a lot of different vehicles to cross him to the other side. Let's see how to travel. 👇

1️⃣ Tateyama Neck Bijodaira (Tateyama Cable Car):

Start by taking the high-slope tram, and I guess I have to stand and wait for the time specified on the ticket. Seven minutes to Bijodaira.

2️⃣ Bijodaira Cowl Murodo (Tateyama Highland Bus):

At this point, we have to build a big bus, run and hike, sit for about 50 minutes. The highlight is that after a while, the view on the side of the road from the green starts to snow and gradually becomes a wall of higher snow.

3️⃣ Murodo (peak / snow wall):

And then to Murodo Station, the highest point of this route (about 2,450 meters high), May says that it is still seven degrees cold, but it is very sunny, and the giant snow wall is 11 meters high, and there is also a snow field to enjoy.

4️⃣ Murodo Cowl Daikanbo (Tateyama Tunnel Trolleybus):

It takes about 10 minutes to reach the tunnel under the Tateyama volcano.

5️⃣ Daikanbo Cowl Kurobedaira (Tateyama Ropeway):

This point is the peak! It is a large ropeway with "no central pillars at all," up to 1.7 kilometers long.

6️⃣ Kurobedaira Cowl Kurobeko (Kurobe Cable Car):

Extension Cable Car 5 minutes to get down to Kurobe Dam

7️⃣ Kurobe Dam Cowl Ogizawa (Kurobe Dam Walking & Electric Bus):

When we get to the dam, we have to walk across the great and spectacular Kurobe Dam, walk in the cold wind, take a picture of the dam and the snow-covered mountains, and then walk up the Electric Bus for about 16 minutes to cross the tunnel to Ogizawa Station, the destination of our first ticket!

🚌 Last Period: Ogizawa Cowl Shinano Omachi

When we arrived in Ogizawa, we successfully crossed the Japan Alps. From here, we picked up the second ticket we bought, added on it to catch the bus. It took about 40 minutes. The bus will drop us off at Shinano Omachi Station.

The first thing to do is to pick up the suitcase sent across the mountain (pick up the opposite side of the station). From now on, it's up to your friends to go to Matsumoto, to Nagano or whatever. It's the end of the journey across Japan Alps.
