It’s Marlii B, starting a 45 day Identity challenge!
I’m doing this challenge with my Fiancé to do somewhat of an identity shift. I want to use this next 45 days to be mindful and direct towards fitness and all things keeping me well-rounded. Below are my personal set of “rules” to follow for the next 45 days:
1. 45 mins of movement 💪🏾(Twice a week (2x a day)
2. 4-5 cups of water 🌊(2x a day)
3. Reading/Learning of some kind 📝
4. Eating whole foods and fasting (10-15hr) 🥦
5. Journaling/ Tracking EVERYDAY 📓
6.Self-care every 2 days! (Getting Aligned) 🛀
7. Embracing hobbies and creativity ✨
Okay, so I will say me and my fiancé have some rules the same and some rules different. What makes this different than the 75 hard or the 75 soft is that I got to choose these. These “rules” are areas in my personal life that I want to feed into and grow into.
Some of them are merged with things I already do and they are Identity markers for me.
Join me, that way I have other people in an accountability system!! Let me know what you think!

I found that setting specific rules—like moving for 45 minutes twice a day and drinking enough water—really helped me stay consistent and energized throughout the day. What’s unique about this challenge is the flexibility to tailor the rules to what resonates most with your personal identity, rather than following a generic program like the 75 Hard.
Another aspect I love is integrating learning and journaling daily, which keeps my mind active and reflective. Recording progress not only tracks physical improvements but also emotional shifts and creative insights. Including self-care every two days was crucial—taking time to relax and reset meant I could maintain motivation and avoid burnout.
I also embraced hobbies that spark creativity, whether it’s writing, drawing, or cooking wholesome meals. This balance between structure and creative freedom made the challenge feel enjoyable rather than a strict regimen. Plus, partnering with my fiancé created a supportive accountability system, which made sticking to the challenge much more sustainable.
If you’re thinking about trying a similar identity-focused challenge, I recommend defining your own rules that fit what you want to grow into. Whether it’s fitness goals, wellness habits, personal growth, or creative practices, customizing your challenge can lead to more meaningful and lasting change. The key is to stay consistent and mindful, while being kind to yourself through the process.
