The Tunnel Temple is a temple that Phyamangrai built. It is called the "Temple of Vera Karam" (Eleven Bamboo Temple), because it is located in the bamboo forest at the foot of Doi Suthep. [2] Phyamangrai built this temple as a residence for the monks specifically invited from Lanka. [6]
