What I Read In June + What I Plan To Read In July📚

Given how busy I was, I'm surprised I managed to read this much. June was an interesting month for reading. I tried some cowboy romances for the first time and enjoyed them. Will definitely try so more in the near future. I added a few books that weren't initially on this month's TBR. One of them was a collection of Haitian tales and folklore that took me back home. I thoroughly enjoyed it! And I ended DNFing two books that I was looking forward to all year, which kinda sucked. All in all, it was a great month!

I'm excited to see what July has to bring! I kinda have a summer romance theme going on. I can't wait for lots of reading at the park and beach!

... Read moreReading can be a transformative experience, allowing us to immerse ourselves in different worlds and cultures. This month, cowboy romances captured my attention, blending adventure and romance, while the collection of Haitian tales enriched my appreciation for my heritage. Books like 'The Magic Orange' by Edwidge Danticat reintroduce us to our roots, fostering a deeper connection to our backgrounds. What's more, the thrill of discovering new genres keeps readers engaged and curious. Inspired by the summer vibes, my July TBR focuses on light-hearted reads perfect for sunny afternoons—think feel-good romances like 'When Javi Dumped Me' and 'Hurricane Summer'. The concept of 'Did Not Finish' (DNF) is quite common among avid readers. It’s essential to recognize that not every book will resonate, and that’s okay. The important part is to cherish those reads that do ignite a spark, while keeping an open mind to try new authors and genres. As I gear up for my July reading adventures, I'm excited to explore a diverse range of voices and stories that invite imagination and connection. The blend of curated selections promises not only entertainment but also valuable life lessons through storytelling. So grab your book, find a cozy spot at the beach, and enjoy the literary journey ahead!
