The method involves sectioning hair, slicking it back smoothly with elastics, and creatively knotting the ponytail for a chic, textured bun. One tip I discovered is to use a light-hold hair serum or smoothing cream before starting to tame any flyaways and achieve a sleek finish. The beauty of this style is not only its neatness but its versatility. Whether you're heading to work, running errands, or attending a casual get-together, the knotted bun looks polished yet effortless. Plus, because it’s secured with multiple elastics, it holds very well throughout the day, even in humid conditions. I also found that using clear elastics helps the hairstyle appear more seamless and refined, blending with hair color without distracting. If you want to add some flair, inserting a few decorative pins or small flowers into the knots can make the look even more personalized and summer-appropriate. For those new to pull-through hairstyles, patience is key—practice the steps a few times to get comfortable with splitting and flipping through sections. Watching a tutorial video can also be helpful for understanding the mechanics of tightening the knots without pulling too hard on the scalp. Overall, this pull-through knotted bun is a fun, summery way to update your usual ponytail or bun. It’s a great way to keep your hair controlled while adding a bit of flair, ensuring you stay cool and stylish throughout the season.
