Money I’ve made from TT this week…
They say consistency is key. 😂 #unfiltered #transparency #money #ttshop
Seeing my TikTok earnings screen this week, with a grand total of $0.01, really brings home the reality of content creation. It's easy to see viral videos and assume everyone's raking in cash, but my journey shows it's often a slow grind, especially when you're just starting out or figuring things out. I wanted to share a bit more about what I've learned about the 'money side' of TikTok, especially for those of you also checking your earnings screen wondering how it all works. First off, for anyone seeing similar numbers to my 'Monday: $0.00' or 'Tuesday: $0.00' on their own screen, know you're not alone! Earnings on TikTok aren't just handed out. Most of my friends and I have found that to really see those numbers climb beyond a few cents, you need to be actively part of one of TikTok's monetization programs. The main ones usually include the Creator Fund, which pays based on views and engagement, or the Creator Marketplace for brand deals. Then there are LIVE Gifts, where viewers send you virtual gifts that convert to real money, and of course, commissions from TikTok Shop sales – which is something I'm still exploring. My experience is that consistency, as I mentioned in my original post, truly is key. It's not just about posting any content, but consistently posting good content that resonates with your audience. I've noticed that even a slight dip in my posting schedule or content quality can impact my views, and therefore, my potential earnings. It also takes time to build a loyal following who will engage with your content enough to make a difference in the Creator Fund, or be interested in the products you might promote through TikTok Shop. When you look at your own TikTok earnings screen, you might see daily breakdowns, total balances, and options to withdraw. It can be a bit confusing at first. For instance, the Creator Fund payment isn't instant; it's usually calculated over a period and then deposited. So, even if you have a viral video one day, you might not see that impact on your daily earnings screen right away. It's more of a cumulative process. Don't get discouraged if your 'Sunday: $0.01' looks a lot like mine! This journey is about learning and adapting. I'm focusing on trying new content styles, engaging more with comments, and understanding what my audience truly enjoys. Who knows, maybe next week my screen will show a little more than a penny! It’s all part of the process of building something valuable on the platform.
