Some jobs I’ve done
I’m sharing some jobs that I have done and I want to explain nothing is wrong about moving from the place you don’t want to be in. Explore your options and opportunities while you are still young! #jobs #Lemon8 #summer #questions #fyp #aesthetic
It's so true, isn't it? Don't be afraid to try new things! My own journey through a variety of jobs has taught me so much, and I totally agree that you only live once, so why not find what truly lights you up? Thinking back to my time as a Server, the good tips were a huge plus, but it wasn't just about the money. The fast pace and interaction could be rewarding, yet also demanding. Then there was being a Dutch Bros Broista – super fun coworkers, but sometimes it felt like too much work for little pay, which really makes you question if the effort is worth it. It’s a common challenge in many service roles, finding that balance between enjoyment and fair compensation. My stint at Target was surprisingly a good job overall, but like many, I ran into issues with management. It's amazing how much leadership can make or break an experience, turning a decent job into a frustrating one. Even at Starbucks, where you expect a certain culture, I found there were things I simply didn't like, proving that every role has its unique ups and downs, regardless of the brand's reputation. Some jobs really test your limits. Being a Site Supervisor definitely led to horrible shifts and a lonely work environment, which was tough. It taught me the value of team connection and a supportive atmosphere. And my experience at Amazon truly made me feel non-human at times – it highlighted the importance of a workplace that values its employees beyond just output. These experiences, though difficult, taught me invaluable lessons about what I don't want in a job, shaping my future career path decisions. Even seemingly 'easy jobs' like the one at BMW can have their own set of challenges, especially when dealing with bad co-workers. It just goes to show that people and team dynamics are incredibly important for job satisfaction. Now, looking forward to starting as a PCT, I'm hopeful for a different kind of challenge and reward in healthcare, an entirely new field to explore. The biggest takeaway from all these different career paths is the importance of self-reflection. What truly makes a job a '7/10' for you? Is it the pay, the team, the work-life balance, or the sense of purpose? Don't settle for a job that constantly drains you. Use each experience, good or bad, as a stepping stone to understand your preferences better. Explore your options, talk to people, even dip your toes into new industries. Finding a fulfilling career often means trying things out and being brave enough to move on when something isn't a good fit. What's your next step on your Lemon8 job journey?
