Exploring local cafes can be such a delightful way to brighten up the start of the week. Recently, I decided to visit Pettaway Coffee, a spot that’s been getting rave reviews around Arkansas for its unique baked goods and cozy vibe. Starting with their everything bagel, it truly lived up to expectations. The seasoning was perfectly balanced – not too salty, with a satisfying crunch on the outside and soft, chewy bread inside. Paired with a rich cream cheese or coffee, it’s a breakfast winner. What really stole my attention was the Carrot Cream Cheese Coffee Cake. Moist and flavorful, it combined the sweetness of carrots with the tangy cream cheese topping in a way that was both comforting and indulgent. This kind of treat pairs wonderfully with a good cup of coffee, enhancing the experience. On my ongoing quest for the best chocolate chip cookie, I sampled Pettaway’s Abbey Road Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookie. The brown sugar gave it a deep caramelized flavor that made each bite addictive. Soft yet slightly crisp on the edges, it struck a perfect balance for a timeless favorite. Adding to the experience was the cafe’s environmentally friendly approach, as evidenced by their use of compostable packaging certified by OK compost HOME, which shows a commitment to sustainability that I really appreciate.
