What’s in my Snackle box?
As a family of four we devoured this in two days.
I love the idea of a Snackle box for summer!
I like having lots of different fruits and veggies and cheeses in the fridge but it’s difficult to get them out and eat them when they’re all in separate containers.
It’s basically a charcuterie board with a lid.
The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is putting crackers in it. I feel like crackers don’t taste good refrigerated and that they might get stale.
Olives and pickles also aren’t good to put in a Snackle box imo. They’re better straight out of the jar.
I’ve seen other people do candy in Snackle boxes! Like a movie night Snackle box with candies and popcorn! That would be fun to try.
I want to try to make a themed one for my daughter’s bday party. It’s princess themed so like maybe pink candies, pretzel rod “wands”, etc. still working on ideas.
Lmk what you think about Snackle boxes in the comments and if you have any other ideas for how to use them?
I've become a total Snackle Box enthusiast since making my first one, and let me tell you, it's changed our family's snacking game! Beyond the fresh fruits and veggies I usually pack, I've started experimenting with different themes and needs, especially after seeing how much my original box (with those crisp cucumbers, sweet baby carrots, and yummy mozzarella and cheddar jack cheese) was a hit. One thing I quickly realized is that not all snacks are created equal for every situation. For instance, what about those times you need a snackle box idea that's non-perishable? This is key for road trips, camping, or even just keeping one stashed in the car for emergencies. Personally, I love including items like individually wrapped dried fruit (think apple slices or mango), nuts and seeds (almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds), small pretzels (though not in the refrigerated section, remember my crusty cracker rule!), and even some jerky or meat sticks. For a touch of sweetness, mini rice cakes or granola bites work wonderfully. These items hold up well and provide a good energy boost without needing refrigeration. Then there's the daily grind – the snackle box for work. My coworkers are always asking me about my latest creations! For an office setting, I focus on easy-to-eat, mess-free options. Think pre-cut bell pepper strips, those handy mini cheese wheels (like Babybel), hard-boiled eggs (if you don't mind the smell!), and perhaps some whole-grain crackers (kept separately, of course!). I’ve also found that a small portion of trail mix or a few olives (again, from a small sealed container, not loose in the box) can be really satisfying. It helps me avoid the vending machine trap and keeps me fueled through those mid-morning slumps. And for those of us trying to stay active, a protein snackle box is a lifesaver. This is where I get creative with ingredients like pre-cooked shrimp, sliced summer sausage (a great option!), edamame, and even some Greek yogurt dips (kept in a tiny sealed container) for those cucumbers and carrots. Cottage cheese is another fantastic protein source that you can portion out. I’ve found that adding a handful of roasted chickpeas or some mini chicken skewers rounds it out perfectly, ensuring I stay full and energized. Beyond everyday use, I've been brainstorming for specific events. For a game night, I want snacks that are easy to grab without getting our hands messy. Mini meatballs, cheese cubes, pretzel bites, and maybe even some sweet treats like chocolate-covered pretzels or gummy bears (my candy Snackle box idea!) would be perfect. And thinking about outdoor fun basket ideas, I'd pack a Snackle box with similar non-perishable items, but also add some refreshing elements like chilled grapes or orange segments, assuming it’s not out in the sun for too long. It’s all about making snacking convenient and fun, no matter the occasion. I can't wait to try more themed boxes!
